Hello everyone,
It’s hard to believe my twins, Vivienne and Marlo, are already two! It feels like just yesterday we were navigating the beautiful chaos of a twin pregnancy. Our birth journey ended up being a C-section, which at the time felt like the safest and most peaceful path forward for getting our two little ones here safely. It was an intense but incredibly profound experience, and I’m so grateful for how it all unfolded.
Now that we’re finally out of the newborn fog and into the equally wild toddler stage, my partner and I have found ourselves quietly wondering about the future. The idea of another baby feels both exciting and daunting! This has led me to think a lot about subsequent births after a C-section. I’ve been reading about VBACs and repeat C-sections, and the information can feel a bit overwhelming at times.
I’m particularly curious to hear from other mothers who have had a C-section and then went on to have more children. My faith teaches me to trust in the path laid out for us, but I also believe in being an informed and active participant in our own stories. I’d love to hear some of your experiences—the challenges, the triumphs, and the wisdom you gained. What did your journey look like? Did you choose a repeat C-section or were you able to have a VBAC?
Thanks for letting me share and for creating such a supportive space for these important conversations.
